You cannot visit Naples without taking a stroll along the historic “city symbol” – Naples Pier, which was first constructed in 1888. It stretches from the end of 12th Avenue, and is very popular for fishing, sunset watching, dolphin spotting, and enjoying the view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Go check out Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, a gateway to the Everglades consisting of 13,000 magnificent acres of wetlands, pine flatwoods, a marsh, and a wet prairie, as well as the largest North American old growth Bald Cypress Forest. They have guided tours that allow you to meander through a boardwalk and catch a glimpse of the preserve’s alligators, white-tailed deer, otters, red-bellied turtles, several kinds of wading birds, songbirds, and birds of prey. Take a Marco Island Kayak Eco Tour and paddle through the enchanting mangroves to learn about the history of the area, the vegetation, and wildlife from one of the knowledgeable guides. How about checking out the Manatee Ecotour and Shelling Adventure, where you can see local marine wildlife like manatees, tropical birds and mangroves and waterways of the Ten Thousand Islands.
If fishing is your passion, then try the Naples Eco Tour and Backwater Fishing Adventure. The guided tour will take you to a deserted island called Whitehorse Key where you can shell and try your hand at backwater fishing. If you’re in the mood to catch some crappie, bluegill, bass, and the redear sunfish, then maybe book a private half day fishing trip at Lake Trafford near Naples. Or, enjoy a nature walk at Naples Botanical Garden–a 170-acre world-class garden paradise.With all its different gardens and long paths around the lake, one can easily spend a few hours here. Another boat charter to try is Cool Beans Cruises, which provides all the shrimp and cold beer you can consume while you take part in experiencing some of the most magnificent sunsets.
Museums and Indoor Entertainment Activities
Are you an automobile enthusiast? Then, you must visit The Revs Institute. This nonprofit museum and Institute contains a collection of 110 very rare cars in all five different galleries. From original race cars in the teens and 20s to classic top-of-the-line Duesenberg, Rolls-Royce, Bentleys, and Packards. Holocaust History Museum has a display of historical artifacts and a library of videos and books. It is mainly focused on the years 1933 – 1945. A number of survivors and liberators live in the area and are often available as either docents or presenters of their individual stories. Naples Historical Society’s Historic Palm Cottage is Naples oldest house (1895). Everyone who lives in Naples talks about how you must visit this museum at least once. It captures Naples’ early history and presents it in an interesting way. The Baker Museum regularly offers the public a broad range of art on exhibit. You will be impressed with the Olga Hirshhorn holdings that were donated to the museum. Also three very impressive Chihuly installations–the museum’s Persian ceiling is one of the best in the world. In terms of nightlife entertainment, Naples has it all.

Parks and Beaches
Want to cool off at a great water park? Then Sun-n-Fun Lagoon has got you covered. This family-friendly man made water park is a fresh way of staying wet and beating the heat, a nice change of pace from the shore. But if you want to hit the beach, we highly recommend Lowdermilk Beach. This family friendly beach, has a snack bar, beautiful clear water, showers and clean restrooms. Clam Pass Park is another must visit SW Florida beach spot, it’s perfect for tanning, paddleboarding, and swimming. With onsite restaurants, you can have food and drinks, and eliminate the need for bringing along the heavy cooler. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area is a Florida State Park located on a barrier island on Florida’s southwest coast in Naples. This popular destination boasts one of the most pristine stretches of beach, which has designated areas for anglers, boats, and snorkeling the reef. Cambier Park is located in the middle and has something for all ages to enjoy. 
There is a unique children’s playground, and a bandshell, where you may enjoy concerts on a regular basis. It also includes a terrific tennis center, or plan an event at the meeting center and playhouse in the Norris Center. Freedom Park is a great place to take your out of town guests. This park is wonderful for families with young children, has a deck with tables for a snack or lunch, and a pavilion with nature information. Bring your camera or iPhone and get ready to snap pictures of birds, otters, turtles, alligators, raccoons and various fish and other wildlife while visiting the various ponds in the facility. Eagle Lakes Community Park, is a terrific park with lots of features. Great walking paths, bike trail, choice of 1 or 2.5 miles. Softball and soccer fields, tennis courts and a water spout park for little kids. The bike trail is beautiful! The variety of birds, waterfowl, fish and turtles in the ponds and wetlands make for a very interesting ride.
Shopping & Restaurants
Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South are the focal points for Naples shopping in the historic downtown area, with numerous art galleries, chic clothing boutiques and home decor shops. The Third Street South Farmer’s Market open on Saturday, overflows with fresh produce, flowers, pastas, cheeses, seafood, grass-fed beef, pastries & baked goods, prepared foods, jams, relishes, fresh roasted coffee beans, Music, dog treats and much more. Be sure to check out Waterside Shops, which is a pleasant open-air mall with water fountains that has a good mix of moderate to premium and high-end retail stores. Tin City Waterfront Marketplace in Historic downtown Naples, FL is the original shopping sensation and home to three unique buildings with a bayside boardwalk full of activity, boasting 30 charming boutiques, 2 restaurants overlooking the water and a variety of water adventures to choose. The Village on Venetian Bay is another upscale open-air shopping mall, one of the most popular in Naples with tourists and affluent locals alike. The mall has many upscale shops selling everything from high fashion clothing and jewels to fine wines, and home décor. There are also many restaurants and outdoor cafes serving everything from hot dogs to cutting edge international cuisine.
Mercato is a modern-day downtown shopping center with retail stores, restaurants, a 12-screen movie theater, and professional offices. Shopping includes fashions and footwear for women and men, home goods, and Naples’ only Whole Foods grocery market.
Are you a beer and taco aficionado? Then check out Naples Beach Brewery, which has a great selection of unique beers. An overall great place to hangout with live music, and bar games like darts, shuffleboard, or cornhole. Having a sweet tooth? Taste the sweeter side of Naples on a Chocolate Stroll or an Art, Wine & Chocolate Tour. The Chocolate Stroll Tour is a guided walking tasting tour that goes down beautiful 5th Avenue South, popping into seven or eight little food boutiques, delicatessens, and cafés–allowing tour-goers to taste to try all things chocolate.
Are you into fresh seafood? Then see what Swan River Seafood is all about – fresh – for lunch and dinner. They are famous for their crab cakes. The Dock at Crayton Cove is the epitome of Old Naples, offering fried seafood specials from blackened grouper to raw oysters to Jamaican Red Stripe ribs among a happening bar scene.
